Dipak Bhowmik

Dr. Dipak Bhowmik is a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Carl von Ossietzky University of Oldenburg, working within the Department of Computing Science's Microrobotics and Control Engineering division under Prof. Sergej Fatikow. He joined the university in October 2023 after completing postdoctoral positions at ITER-INDIA, Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur, and Institute for Plasma Research.

Dr. Bhowmik's educational background includes a Bachelor's degree with honors in Physics from North Bengal University (2012), a Master's degree in Physics from Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur (2014), and a PhD from Homi Bhabha National Institute (2019).

His research focuses on nanoscale physics and material characterization, with particular expertise in Atomic Force Microscopy, X-ray Photoelectron Microscopy, Transmission Electron Microscopy, and ion beam technology. His current work at Oldenburg centers on nanoplastic characterization using Atomic Force Microscopy and nanostructure formation through focused ion beam techniques.
