Dimitris Papadimitriou is a Lecturer in Finance at King's Business School, King's College London. Previously, he held a Lecturer position at the University of Bristol. He earned a PhD from the London School of Economics, an MSc in Financial Economics from the University of Oxford, and a BA in Mathematics from the University of Cambridge. His research focuses on asset pricing, market microstructure, and portfolio management, exploring how information and agency frictions influence investor decisions. He is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
Key research interests include agency theory in financial management, heterogeneous investor beliefs, and market dynamics under uncertainty. His work has been published in journals like the American Economic Review and Financial Review. He actively contributes to conferences such as the NBER Asset Pricing Meeting and the Adam Smith Workshop.
Dr. Papadimitriou is currently accepting PhD students and has authored notable papers on topics like the impact of short-selling bans and speculative trading behaviors. His research bridges theoretical models with empirical insights, addressing real-world financial market challenges.
