Dimitrios Sokoutis

Prof. Dr. Dimitrios Sokoutis is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Geosciences, Utrecht University, Director of the Tectonic Laboratory (TecLab), and Adjunct Professor at the University of Oslo. His research integrates field studies and physical analogue modeling to investigate lithospheric mechanics, including continent-continent collision, extension of thickened lithosphere, subduction zones, and the interplay between tectonics, erosion, and volcanism.
