Dimitrios Peroulis is the Senior Vice President for Partnerships and Online and the Reilly Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Purdue University. He leads the offices of Industry Partnerships, Global Partnerships, Engagement, and online programs. He holds a BS from the National Technical University of Athens (1998), an MSE from the University of Michigan (1999), and a PhD from the University of Michigan (2003).
His research focuses on reconfigurable systems, plasma RF electronics, RF-assisted lyophilization, and high-Q cavity-based resonators. Key contributions include tunable filters, supercavity systems, and microwave heating for pharmaceutical applications. He has authored over 450 papers and holds multiple patents.
Peroulis has received prestigious awards such as the NSF CAREER Award (2008), Tatsuo Itoh Award (2019), and teaching accolades including the Charles B. Murphy Award (2010). His students have earned numerous paper and scholarship awards.
His work bridges academia and industry, emphasizing innovation in RF technologies, plasma-based systems, and educational outreach. Current projects include advanced antenna designs, supercavity systems, and pharmaceutical lyophilization optimization.
