Dr. Dimitrios Milioris is a Lecturer and Researcher at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). He holds a Ph.D. from École Polytechnique Paris (2015, honors), earned as an Alliance Program Awardee at Columbia University (2013–2014). His education includes a double M.Sc. in Computer Science & Applied Mathematics (2011, first class honors) from Paris XI University and École Polytechnique, and a B.Sc. in Computer Science from the University of Crete (2009, honors).
Before MIT, he was a researcher at Bell Labs, Alcatel-Lucent in Paris, within the Mathematics of Dynamic & Complex Networks Department. Earlier roles include research assistant at the Institute of Computer Science (ICS) of Foundation for Research and Technology Hellas (FORTH), research engineer with Inria's Hipercom Team, and compulsory military service in Telecommunications Division.
His research focuses on signal processing, mobile computing, sensor networks, compressive sensing, dynamic social networks, and sequence analysis. He is affiliated with MIT's academic community and actively participates in events like the LINCS Annual Workshop (2025).
