Dimitrios Karslidis serves as an Assistant Professor in the Teaching Stream at the University of Toronto's Faculty of Arts and Science, Department of Mathematics. He is based at the Downtown Toronto (St. George) campus in office HU1015 (215 Huron).
Dr. Karslidis specializes in the intersection of pure mathematics and practical applications of deep learning. His research focuses on bridging theoretical mathematical concepts with real-world artificial intelligence implementations. With extensive experience teaching undergraduate mathematics courses, he brings both academic rigor and industry perspective to his teaching approach, having worked as a Deep Learning Engineer where he specifically focused on integrating mathematical theory with deep learning applications.
His expertise spans mathematical theory, deep learning architectures, and the practical implementation of AI systems grounded in solid mathematical foundations.
