معرفی
Dimitrios Anglos is a Professor in the Department of Chemistry at the University of Crete, appointed as an Associate Professor in 2009 and promoted to Professor in 2017. He is also an associate faculty member at the Institute of Electronic Structure and Laser, Foundation for Research and Technology-Hellas (IESL-FORTH), where he worked as a Researcher (2001-2009) and a postdoctoral fellow (1995-2001). His research focuses on laser spectroscopic techniques and their applications in materials science and cultural heritage.
- Education:
- B.A. in Chemistry (1985) from the University of Athens
- Ph.D. in Photoinduced Intramolecular Electron Transfer (1994) from Cornell University
His research group investigates photophysics in molecules and nanomaterials for sensing applications, such as ZnO/polymer hybrids and carbon nanomaterials, while developing mobile laser spectroscopic instrumentation for cultural heritage and industrial monitoring. Recent publications highlight his work on LIBS, SERS, and hybrid spectrometers for diverse analytical tasks.
Anglos leads laboratory efforts at the University of Crete (Office C214/Lab IT) and collaborates with IESL-FORTH. His team integrates LIBS with mass spectrometry for simultaneous elemental and molecular analysis, advancing portable solutions for on-site material characterization.
