Dima Nasrawi is a Lecturer in Nursing at the Faculty of Health, Southern Cross University. She is a current PhD candidate and serves as a unit assessor within the university. With a background as a Registered Nurse and Cardiac Nurse, she holds membership in the Australian Cardiac Rehabilitation Association and is a committee member of The Cardiac Society of Australia and New Zealand.
Education includes a Master of Advanced Nursing Practice (Griffith University, 2011–2012) and a Graduate Diploma of Health Research (Griffith University, 2017–2018). Her research interests focus on participatory action research, cardiac rehabilitation, postoperative care pathways, and observational studies. Notably, she explores topics such as patient engagement in cardiac rehabilitation and the impact of anonymous student evaluations on academics.
Her awards include a 2025 nomination for Nurse of the Year (Australian Nursing & Midwifery Awards) and a 2024 shortlisting for the Scholarships and Grants Scheme by the Australian Nurses Memorial Centre. Dima’s work bridges clinical practice with academia, emphasizing patient-centered care and improving healthcare education systems. She contributes to initiatives like the Vital Signs Podcast, sharing insights on nursing and academic challenges.
