Diethard Bergers

Prof. Dr. Diethard Bergers serves as a Professor in the Department of Production Technology and Product Development at the University of Duisburg-Essen. With a background in Physics and Mathematics from the University of Cologne and a doctorate in Aerodynamics from RWTH Aachen's Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, his career spans academia and industry.

His research focuses on optimizing technical business processes through simulation, addressing globalization challenges by improving productivity and reducing lead times in manufacturing systems. He emphasizes integrated product and production planning, material flow management, and computer-assisted tools for process efficiency.
