Dieter Daniels

Dieter Daniels (born 1957) is a Professor of Art History and Media Theory at the Academy of Visual Arts Leipzig (HGB) since 1993. His career spans academic leadership as former Dean of Media Art/Theory (1997–2000), Vice-Rector for Research (2000–2003), and director of the Ludwig Boltzmann Institute Media.Art.Research. in Linz (2005–2009). Currently a Gutenberg Fellow at Mainz's Gutenberg Research College (2017–2019), he serves on Berlin's Transmediale festival advisory board since 2010.
