معرفی
Diego Martín Cano is a Ramón y Cajal Researcher at the Faculty of Sciences, Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (UAM), leading the Molecular Quantum Optomechanics group. He coordinates the EU/Canada Project MIRAQLS and previously headed the Sandoghdar Division at the Max Planck Institute for the Science of Light (2014–2020). His work focuses on quantum optics, nanophotonics, and molecular optomechanics, with applications to plasmonic systems and materials science.
Education:
- PhD in Theoretical Condensed Matter Physics, UAM (2008–2012)
- M.Sc. in Condensed Matter and Nanotechnology, UAM (2007–2008)
- Bachelor's in Physics, UAM (2002–2006)
Research Highlights: Investigates quantum phenomena in nanoscale systems, including magnetic impurity effects on supercurrents, Andreev spectroscopy in nanowires, and photon statistics in plasmonic environments. Collaborates on projects involving scanning tunneling microscopy and optomechanical resonators.
Awards:
- La Caixa Junior Leader (2020–Present)
Labs/Teams: Leads the Molecular Quantum Optomechanics group at IFIMAC (Institute for Multidisciplinary Research in Advanced Materials) and contributes to the Max Planck-UAM collaboration.
