Didier Demazière is a CNRS Research Professor at the Centre for the Sociology of Organisations (CSO) at Sciences Po. His academic work focuses on labor sociology, unemployment, and public policy, while maintaining an HDR (Habilitation à Diriger des Recherches) qualification.
- Research Interests: Sociology of work, unemployment, public action, careers of elected politicians, and professional sportspeople, with methodological reflections on biographical and interactionist approaches.
- Key Roles: President of ANR's Work-Innovation committee (2019-2021), CNRS National Committee section 40 (2016-2021), and Pôle Emploi’s scientific council (2013-present).
- Teaching: Conducts seminars on research methods and transformations of work at Sciences Po’s Master’s program and lectures on work and employment trends.
His publications analyze labor market dynamics, job search compliance, and the financial aspects of political careers. Research trends emphasize intersections between individual experiences and institutional policies.
