Dr. Didem Gundogdu is a Senior Lecturer in Accounting and Programme Director for the BSc Accounting and Finance at Queen Mary University of London's School of Business and Management. She holds a PhD and MSc in Accounting and Finance from the University of Exeter. Her research focuses on empirical capital markets-based accounting, non-financial capital valuation, and corporate governance dynamics. She teaches courses such as International Corporate Reporting and Corporate Governance, and has delivered intensive courses at Chinese universities.
Research interests include board connectivity, social network analysis, and the role of human/social capital in firm valuation. She is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
