Dictynna Hood

Dictynna Hood serves as a Visiting Lecturer and course designer at the University of Warwick, leading the Production Module in collaboration with the London Film School. An acclaimed filmmaker, her feature films "Wreckers" (2011) and "Us Among the Stones" (2019) have garnered international recognition, including a Silver George at the Moscow International Film Festival. She has directed award-winning short films and maintains extensive teaching engagements at institutions including the London Film School, London Film Academy, and City University's continuing education department.

Hood's creative practice centers on film directing and screenwriting, with a focus on psychological drama and character-driven narratives exploring identity and relational tensions within contemporary British contexts. Her work spans multiple mediums including feature films, short films, playwriting ("The Selkie" commissioned by Wellcome Trust), and musical theatre ("Dr Faustess"), demonstrating versatility in storytelling techniques and thematic depth.
