Diane Piccitto is Associate Professor and Department Chair in English at Mount Saint Vincent University. She holds a PhD in English from the University of Western Ontario and specializes in Romantic-era literature with particular emphasis on William Blake, drama, and performance studies.
Her research examines Romantic literature through lenses of identity, gender, and sexuality, with significant publications on Blake, Byron, and revolutionary aesthetics. Current projects explore intersections between text, performance, and visual culture in nineteenth-century contexts.
Recent articles demonstrate ongoing investigations into theatricality in Romantic poetry and pedagogical innovations in teaching literary-visual materials. Her scholarship consistently engages with queer theory and feminist interpretations of canonical texts.
