Dr. Diane LaChapelle is an Associate Professor in the Department of Psychology at the University of New Brunswick (UNB). She serves as Director of Clinical Training for the Psychology Department and holds leadership roles in professional organizations like the Canadian Council of Professional Psychology Programs and the Atlantic Mentorship Network for Pain, Addiction and Mental Health. Her research focuses on health and rehabilitation psychology, particularly adjustment to chronic illness/disability, neuroplastic models of chronic pain, and Pain Reprocessing Therapy.
Education: BSc (Hons) from McMaster University; MA & PhD in Clinical Psychology from the University of Regina. Her work emphasizes qualitative methodologies, exploring topics like fibromyalgia’s cognitive/sexual impacts, arthritis partner dynamics, and social media support networks.
