Diane Hare serves as Associate Professor in the DNP Program within the Department of Nursing, College of Nursing and Health Professions at Arkansas State University. With ten years of undergraduate pre-licensure nursing education experience and diverse clinical expertise across multiple specialties, she contributes significantly to nursing education.
Her academic credentials include:
- Vocational Nursing Certificate from Lamar State College
- Associate in Applied Science in Nursing (AASN) from Lamar State College
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from Lamar University
- Master of Science in Nursing Education (MSN) from University of Texas
- Doctor of Nursing Practice in Nursing Education (DNP) from Arkansas State University (awarded May 2024)
Dr. Hare's research centers on nursing education methodology with specialized focus across clinical domains including pediatrics, obstetrics/women's health, medical-surgical nursing, and neonatal care. Her teaching philosophy integrates extensive frontline clinical experience into educational frameworks.

Beginning her career as a Licensed Vocational Nurse, Dr. Hare developed comprehensive clinical expertise through roles in medical offices, telemetry units, obstetrics, neonatal care, pediatrics, and childbirth education before transitioning to academia. She joined Arkansas State University initially as an adjunct DNP Project Chair following completion of her doctorate, subsequently advancing to her current Associate Professor position.
