Diane F. Hunker, Ph.D., MBA, RN is a Professor of Nursing and Director of Nursing Programs at Chatham University's College of Health Sciences. She joined Chatham in 2007 and has established herself as a leader in nursing education, with expertise in graduate and online nursing programs, nursing administration, and women's health research.
Dr. Hunker's academic journey began with a BSN from the University of Pittsburgh in 1989, followed by an MBA in 1994, and culminating with her Ph.D. from the same institution in 2007. She is actively involved in professional organizations including the American Association of Colleges of Nursing, National League for Nursing, and Sigma Theta Tau International.
Her research interests span multiple areas of nursing education, with particular focus on innovative teaching methods, faculty development, international nursing education, and scholarly writing development for nursing students. Dr. Hunker has developed expertise in mindfulness interventions for nursing students, quality improvement initiatives in postpartum care, and strategies for supporting online nursing education.
