Dr Diana Varaden is a Lecturer in Environmental Social Science and Health at Imperial College London's School of Public Health. With multidisciplinary expertise in air pollution and social science, her research bridges natural sciences, social sciences, and health disciplines. She specializes in participatory research methods, public engagement in science, and developing evaluation frameworks for community involvement in health and environmental research.
Her key projects include the Breathe London Wearables Study engaging children in air pollution monitoring, and the WellHome study investigating indoor air pollution. She coordinates public engagement for the NIHR HPRU in Environmental Exposures and Health and develops community-based air quality initiatives funded by Impact on Urban Health.
