She explores how technical and political experiments in humanitarian demining shape trust, environmental politics, and multispecies relations in post-war Colombia. Her book manuscript, Suspicious Landscapes: Humanitarian Demining and Peace Laboratories in Colombia, analyzes collaborations between deminers, rebels, and communities to reconstruct peace.
Her recent publications address sensory co-laboring with mine detection dogs, the ethics of humanitarian intervention, and the spatial politics of explosive terrains. These works highlight the intersections of violence, technology, and ecology in conflict zones.
Dr. Pardo Pedraza teaches courses on Latin American anthropology, environmental politics, and science and technology studies, emphasizing critical perspectives on conflict and development.
