Diana Monsivais

Diana Monsivais, Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pathology and Immunology at Baylor College of Medicine. She holds a PhD from Northwestern University in Life Sciences/Molecular Biology, with additional degrees from Chicago State University (MS) and University of Illinois (BS).

Her research focuses on endometrial biology, investigating signaling pathways involved in uterine receptivity, endometriosis, and endometrial cancer. Using genetic mouse models and 3D endometrial organoid cultures, her lab studies:

• Growth factors controlling endometrial cell renewal
• Molecular mechanisms of blastocyst implantation
• Pathways dysregulated in infertility and cancer

Her work has been supported by multiple NIH grants including R01 HD105800 and awards from the Burroughs Wellcome Fund. Recent publications demonstrate expertise in BMP signaling pathways and their critical role in early pregnancy establishment.
