Diana Harris is a Senior Lecturer in Early Years at the School of Education, part of the University of Greenwich. She holds qualifications including a BEd, two GDip degrees, and an MA. Her career spans nursery and primary teaching, followed by leadership roles in Further Education (FE) colleges, where she developed childcare courses (Levels 1-5). She joined the University of Greenwich in 2006, leading the Foundation Degree (FdA) in Montessori Early Years and contributing to validation processes for BA Honours Early Years, Foundation Early Years, and Foundation Supporting Teaching & Learning programmes. She also pioneered an FdA for teaching assistants and currently teaches on BA Honours Early Years and MA Early Childhood programmes. As a Link Tutor, she collaborates with partner colleges on Early Years and Education degrees.
Her professional initiatives include designing a fast-track Level 3 childcare course for a National Awarding Body and launching a training programme for childminders with a Local Authority. Her expertise focuses on early years pedagogy, curriculum development, and bridging FE and HE educational pathways.
