Diana Barger is a PhD candidate in public health specializing in epidemiology at the University of Bordeaux's Institute of Public Health, Epidemiology and Development (ISPED), while serving as a Distance Learning Tutor at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and a Teaching Assistant at the University of Bordeaux.
Her educational background includes:
- MPH (Masters in Public Health) from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (2012)
- BA in Political Science with Magna Cum Laude honors from Tufts University (2008)
Her research centers on epidemiology and public health, with specialized focus on HIV care pathways, patient-reported outcomes, and social determinants of health. She investigates depression, chronic illness management, and health inequalities to improve quality-of-life interventions for aging HIV populations through technology-driven data collection in routine clinical settings.
Diana secured research funding from Sidaction (2016) and ANRS seed grants for her doctoral work on optimizing HIV care. Her professional expertise spans economic evaluations, monitoring and evaluation (M&E), and sexual and reproductive health programming.
