Diana Adela Martin

Diana Adela Martin is a Senior Research Fellow at University College London's Centre for Engineering Education. She holds academic roles including co-chair of SEFI's Ethics Special Interest Group and Europe Board representative for REEN. Her research focuses on engineering ethics, sustainability, and global perspectives in education, with notable contributions to curricula development and case studies.

Dr. Martin earned a BA in Philosophy from the University of Bucharest and a PhD in Engineering Ethics Education from Technological University Dublin. She has held positions at TU Eindhoven (2021–2023) and TU Dublin (2016–2020).

Her research interests span professional ethics, engineering education pedagogy, and the history/philosophy of engineering and technology. Recent work emphasizes integrating sustainability and corporate social responsibility into engineering curricula.

She has received prestigious awards including the 2025 National Ethics Education Research Award and the 2024 Glen Earthman Dissertation Award. Her editorial roles include Associate Editor for European Journal of Engineering Education and Science and Engineering Ethics.

Dr. Martin actively participates in global initiatives, speaking at venues like the European Commission and the World Engineering Education Forum. Her advisory activities include collaborative projects, media engagement, and supervision of research degrees.
