Dian Li serves as a Lecturer in Graphic and Communication Design at the School of Design, University of Leeds (since 2011). She is the Programme Lead for the Digital Design and Communications online course and has taught BA Graphic Design and Visual Communication across all levels. Prior roles include Study Abroad Coordinator (2011–2018) and Research Associate (2007–2011).
- Research Interests: Typography and emotions, multilingual typography, product instruction design, digital design
- Current Supervision: Two PhD projects focusing on graphics simplification and digital fashion simulation
As Study Abroad Coordinator, she maintained international academic partnerships between the School of Design and global universities. Her teaching spans interactive media, app design, web design, animation, and illustration.
