Dewan Rahman

Dr. Dewan Rahman is a Senior Lecturer in Finance at the University of Queensland's UQ Business School. He specializes in teaching Asset Pricing, Finance, and Investment & Portfolio Management across undergraduate and postgraduate programs. His research focuses on Insider Trading, Corporate Governance, and Corporate Disclosures, with notable contributions published in journals like Journal of Corporate Finance and Journal of Banking and Finance. He actively supervises PhD students and was honored with the 2020 ECR Excellence in Research Award.

Education: PhD in Finance (University of Queensland with Endeavour Scholarship), MSc in Finance (University of Strathclyde with Commonwealth Scholarship), BBA and MBA (University of Dhaka).

Research Interests: His work examines how board independence, product market competition, and managerial pay disparities influence corporate disclosures and insider trading profitability.
