Dr. Devorina Gamalova is an internationally recognized violinist, violist, and academic at the London College of Music (University of West London). She holds a PhD from the University of West London (2008) and has studied under renowned musicians including Grigory Zhislin and Boyan Letchev, a pupil of David Oistrakh.
- Educations: Violin performance diplomas from Sofia and Dresden Music Academies, Postgraduate certificates in violin and viola from Royal College of Music (RCM) and Guildhall School of Music and Drama (GSMD), PhD at University of West London.
Her research focuses on music's role in spiritual wellbeing, Bach's theological influences, violin/viola pedagogy, and the developmental benefits of music education for children. She pioneered a novel musical form for solo violin and viola performances.
As an educator, she teaches at Trinity Laban Conservatoire and London College of Music, with students achieving top exam results, competition wins, and scholarships. Her 2008 doctoral thesis The role of music in the spiritual life considered remains a cornerstone of her scholarly contributions.
