Devon Payne-Sturges

Dr. Devon Payne-Sturges is Professor in the Department of Environmental Health Sciences at University of Michigan's School of Public Health, with additional affiliation as Visiting Professor at University of Maryland School of Public Health. She holds a DrPH and MPH from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.

Her research focuses on:

• Structural drivers of environmental health inequities
• Cumulative impacts of chemical and non-chemical stressors
• Policy interventions addressing racial and economic disparities
• Children's neurodevelopmental health
• Migrant farmworker well-being

Recent publications demonstrate her interdisciplinary approach combining systems modeling, legal analysis, and community engagement to address complex environmental health challenges, particularly through her leadership of the RESPIRAR Project and Urban Equity Collaborative.
