Devon Hedrick-Shaw

Devon Hedrick-Shaw is an Adjunct Lecturer at The City College of New York, where he teaches graduate-level courses in TESOL and Bilingual Education. He is also a PhD candidate in the School of Education at the University of Colorado Boulder, specializing in Equity, Bilingualism & Biliteracy, and Teacher Learning, Research & Practice. His research focuses on preparing teachers to advocate for multilingual learners through intentional engagement with language policy and equitable teaching practices.

Research Interests:

Devon’s work centers transformative educational experiences for multilingual children, emphasizing teacher agency in language policy and anti-oppressive pedagogy. His scholarship bridges theory and practice to foster equitable classrooms for linguistically diverse students.
