Detlev Ristau

Prof. Detlev Ristau is a Professor at the Institute of Quantum Optics within the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics at Leibniz University Hannover. He holds leadership roles including Group Leader for Laser Components and Fibers and is part of the Executive Board of the Institute of Quantum Optics and the PhoenixD Research School. His research focuses on optical thin-film technologies, precision metrology, optical materials, ion deposition processes, laser damage mechanisms, and optical fibers.

His work integrates advanced coating techniques, material characterization, and applications in high-power lasers and photonics.
