Prof. Dr. Detlef Sack is a Professor of Comparative Political Science at the Faculty of Sociology, University of Bielefeld since October 2008. He has held visiting professorships at Tongji University (Shanghai, 2017), Rutgers University (USA, 2004), and Aston University (UK, 2005). His academic career includes research and teaching roles at the Technical University of Darmstadt (2008), University of Kassel (2000–2008), and WZB Berlin (2003–2005).
- Education: Political science, history, and German studies at Universities of Hamburg and Kassel (1991–1997).
Research Interests focus on:
- Comparative governance across public policy and democratic legitimacy.
