Deshira D. Wallace, PhD, MSPH, is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Health Behavior at the UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health. Her research focuses on structural and psychosocial stressors impacting cardiovascular disease and diabetes management among US Latinx populations and Latin Americans, with a particular emphasis on intersectionality and health inequities among individuals of African descent.
