Derek Schneider

Derek Schneider is a Senior Technical Officer in Precision Agriculture at the School of Science and Technology, University of New England (UNE). He coordinates fieldwork, manages sensor data, and supports PhD students in agricultural research.

• Research Interests: Precision agriculture devices (EMI sensors, vegetation sensors, livestock tracking), spatio-temporal pasture monitoring, and sensor network implementation

Publications focus on precision agriculture applications in livestock behavior, pasture biomass estimation, and sensor data processing. Key areas include GPS tracking of animals, remote sensing for crop analysis, and data federation frameworks.
