Dennis Dew is a Professor of Psychology at Mount Mercy University, where he has served since 2009. He is affiliated with the Department of Psychology and holds leadership roles, including Undergraduate Research Coordinator and membership on the Institutional Review Board (IRB) and Academic Assessment Committees.

Research focuses on survey response dynamics, particularly how cognitive processes influence answers to sensitive questions. His work explores priming techniques to enhance survey accuracy and the interplay between honesty and self-presentation. He has presented at conferences like the American Psychological Association, Midwestern Psychological Association, and American Association of Public Opinion Research.
Professional experience includes teaching at Loyola University Chicago and managing national surveys at the University of Chicago’s National Opinion Research Center, focusing on health, politics, and economic behaviors.
Outside academia, Dew enjoys cooking and family time with his wife and two sons.
