Dennis Bray is an Assistant Professor of Theology at Taylor University, affiliated with the College of Bible & Ministry and the Biblical Studies, Christian Ministries, Intercultural Studies & Philosophy Department. He holds a PhD from the University of St Andrews and dual MAs in Systematic Theology and Philosophy of Religion & Ethics from Biola University, with a BA in European History from UC Irvine.

His research focuses on theology, philosophy of religion, and aesthetics, with a particular emphasis on medieval theological arguments and contemporary understandings of beauty. Recent publications include Nichil melius, Nichil perfectius caritate (2025) on Richard of St. Victor's Trinitarian theology and the forthcoming What is Beauty? (2026) exploring art and aesthetics.
Bray previously taught at the University of St Andrews (8 years) and Biola University before relocating to Upland, Indiana with his family. He highlights the importance of theological community and balances academia with hobbies like Warhammer and Magic: The Gathering.
