Denise Reid is an Associate Professor at the School of Education at Biola University. She holds a Ph.D. from Chapman University, an M.A. from California State University, Fullerton, a B.A. from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, and a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential from Hope International University. Her work bridges disability studies, education policy, and historical analysis of racial segregation in education.

Her scholarly work explores intersections between disability studies and racial justice, including studies on identity negotiation for visually impaired students, bullying of students with disabilities, and disproportionate representation of African American students in special education. She has presented extensively at national conferences like AERA and CERA on topics such as culturally responsive teaching, disability inclusion, and civic engagement.
