Denise M. Dupras

Denise M. Dupras, M.D., Ph.D., is an Associate Professor of Medicine at Mayo Clinic College of Medicine, serving as a Consultant in the Division of Community Internal Medicine, Geriatrics and Palliative Care. Her research focuses on improving medical education, particularly identifying deficits in health disparities training within internal medicine residency programs.

Dr. Dupras's landmark research revealed that only 40% of internal medicine residencies provide adequate health disparities training despite accreditation requirements.
