Dengquan Wang is a Research Fellow at the Paul Scherrer Institute (PSI) in Switzerland, supported by the EU Horizon 2020-funded PSI-FELLOW-III-3i Cofund and a Marie Skłodowska-Curie fellowship. He holds a PhD in Civil Engineering (2021) and a dual BSc in Business Management and Civil Engineering (2016), both from Tsinghua University. Previously, he served as a Shuimu Tsinghua Scholar Postdoc at Tsinghua. His research focuses on waste management, cement chemistry, and heavy metal immobilization in construction materials, employing advanced techniques like synchrotron-based characterization and molecular modeling to achieve atom-scale insights.
Education:
- PhD in Civil Engineering, Tsinghua University (2016–2021)
- BSc in Business Management & Civil Engineering, Tsinghua University (2012–2016)
Research interests span interdisciplinary domains including cementitious materials, environmental sustainability, and industrial byproduct valorization. His work emphasizes quantitative analysis of binding-leaching behaviors and leaching risk assessment in composite materials.
Awards include the PSI-FELLOW-III-3i Cofund and Marie Skłodowska-Curie fellowships. His research contributes to industry standards such as drafting guidelines for steel slag and phosphogypsum utilization in construction materials.
