Demis Basso

Demis Basso is a tenured full professor in General and Cognitive Psychology at the Faculty of Education, Free University of Bozen-Bolzano. He leads the Cognitive and Educational Sciences Laboratory (CESLab), focusing on interdisciplinary research bridging cognitive processes with educational practices. His work emphasizes STEM education efficacy, numerical cognition in children, and well-being promotion in educational settings. Basso collaborates with institutions like the Medical University of Innsbruck and University of Trento through projects like NeuroTRAIN.

His research spans cognitive neuroscience, developmental psychology, and educational technology, with a focus on visuo-spatial planning, prospective memory, and executive functions.
