Demirakos Efthimios

Demirakos Efthimios is an Associate Professor of Accounting at the Athens University of Economics and Business, where he contributes to the M.Sc. in International Shipping, Finance and Management as a member of its Steering Committee. He has held leadership roles in multiple academic programs, including Deputy Director of the M.Sc. in International Shipping, Finance and Management and previous membership in the Steering Committees of the MBA International and M.Sc. in Accounting and Finance. Additionally, he serves as an Adjunct Lecturer in Accounting and Finance at the Hellenic Open University.

He has also co-authored two textbooks and contributed to Greek professional magazines.

His recent work highlights trends in financial analysts' valuation frameworks, including the use of economic profit models, Sum-of-the-Parts (SOTP) valuations, and the impact of unreported intangible assets. His Google Scholar publications span forensic accounting, audit quality, and capital market reactions to corporate strategies.
