Delphine Pasques serves as a University Professor at Sorbonne University's Center for Linguistics, specializing in Germanic and Nordic Studies. Her academic affiliation centers on linguistic research within France's premier humanities institution.
Her research program investigates German language evolution through six interconnected axes: lexical creation processes, historical semantics, morphosyntax (including grammatical categories), syntax-semantics interfaces, text linguistics, and philological analysis of Old German language states. She maintains focused expertise in Old High German, Middle High German, and Early New High German textual traditions, examining both synchronic structures and diachronic transformations across historical periods.
As an integral member of the Center for Linguistics at the Sorbonne, she contributes to interdisciplinary research initiatives bridging historical linguistics with contemporary language analysis frameworks. Her work establishes critical connections between medieval Germanic philology and modern linguistic theory development.
