معرفی
Delphine Neff is a Director of Research at the Nanosciences and Innovation for Materials, Biomedicine and Energy Laboratory (NIMBE) and part of the Archaeomaterials and Alteration Prediction Laboratory (LAPA) at Université Paris-Saclay. Her work bridges the nuclear industry and heritage conservation through the study of long-term metal corrosion.
- Specializes in corrosion mechanisms of archaeological metals
- Collaborates with French Ministry of Culture laboratories
- Developed partnerships with SME A-Corros for real-world applications
Research focuses on:
- Multi-scale analysis of corrosion using Raman spectroscopy and complementary techniques
- Predictive modeling for 2000-year radioactive waste container durability
- Eco-compatible corrosion inhibitors for heritage preservation
Her work leverages ancient materials as analogs for modern technical systems, with field applications in cathedral metal analysis and Roman shipwreck iron bar preservation.
Current projects include:
- Archaeological copper corrosion analogues for international waste management
- Development of environmentally sustainable conservation treatments
