Delia Hindman serves as a Lecturer at Austin Community College's Highland Campus, where she has been a Primary Instructor for the SEA-PHAGES program in BIOL-1406 (Cell) across three academic terms: Fall 2018 (7 students), Spring 2018 (9 students), and Spring 2019 (8 students).
Her instructional focus centers on phage discovery and microbiology using Mycobacterium smegmatis as host organism, with courses meeting twice weekly for 6 hours per term. Student composition consistently included 40-60% freshmen across all sections.
Her research interests derive directly from her teaching practice and include:
