Delia Cosentino is a Professor at DePaul University's College of Liberal Arts & Social Sciences, specializing in the Department of History of Art and Architecture. Her scholarship focuses on Latin American art history, particularly the visual culture of Greater Mexico, with research spanning Nahua codices, Franciscan art, mapping practices, and urban histories of Tenochtitlan and Mexico City.
Her work explores the afterlives of Aztec imagery and cultural syncretism in colonial and modern contexts. She has authored and co-edited significant publications including Resurrecting Tenochtitlan (2023) and Las Joyas de Zinacantepec (2007), while curating exhibitions like Ceramic Trees of Life (2003) and Nexo/Nexus (2016).
Her academic contributions intersect with cartographic studies, urban historiography, and the reinterpretation of pre-Columbian visual traditions in contemporary Mexico City, as evidenced by her curated exhibitions and editorial work in the Artl@s Bulletin (2019).
