Dejan Gluvačević

Dejan Gluvačević serves as the head of the Department of Communications at Edward Bernays College. He lectures on managing commercial and national identities, brand management, public diplomacy, strategic communication of states, project management, and tourism destination branding.

Education: PhD in Information-Communication Sciences (2018, University of Osijek) with a thesis on EU perception in Croatia during its first year of membership. Dual bachelor's degrees in Croatology (2011, Faculty of Croatian Studies) and Journalism (2011, specialization in media and public relations). Specialized in Public Relations through a postgraduate program at the Faculty of Political Sciences (2013).

Research focuses on destination branding, national identity, international relations, and communication strategies in tourism. He has authored/co-authored 20+ academic papers and presented at international conferences. Professional affiliations include the Croatian Public Relations Society (HUOJ), International Place Branding Association (IPBA), and Interpret Europe (IE).

Practical experience began in 2010 at PR and integrated communication agencies. Since 2015, expanded into tourism management, founding his own inbound tourism agency in 2018. Teaches as an external collaborator at the University of Zadar (Strategic Communication) and Zagreb's Faculty of Political Sciences (Corporate Communication and Public Diplomacy).
