Dejan Draschkow is an Associate Professor at the University of Oxford's Department of Experimental Psychology and a Tutorial Fellow at Brasenose College. He leads the Adaptive Behaviour & Cognition Lab, investigating how attention and memory interact during naturalistic behavior. His work employs methods like virtual reality (VR), eye-tracking, EEG, and psychophysics to study memory formation, modulation, and predictive guidance of behavior. He teaches Cognitive Psychology and advanced statistical methods, receiving awards such as the Early Career Excellent Teacher Award (2021) and YAVIS Teaching Prize. Draschkow also chairs Open Science initiatives, including leading the Open Neuroimaging Steering Group at the Wellcome Centre for Integrative Neuroimaging. His research emphasizes open science practices, reproducibility, and bridging lab-based and real-world studies through VR. Key contributions include defining visual distraction consensus terms and advancing BIDS neuroimaging standards. He collaborates internationally, co-founding the Icelandic Vision Lab's VR project, and organizes workshops on mixed models and reproducible neuroscience.
