Melissa Lê-Hoa Võ

Prof. Dr. Melissa Lê-Hoa Võ is a Full Professor (W3) of Cognitive Psychology at the Department of General Psychology I, Goethe University Frankfurt am Main, Germany. She leads the Scene Grammar Lab and has held leadership roles including Vice President of the Interdisciplinary Center for Neuroscience Frankfurt (ICNF) and Prodekanin of the Faculty of Psychology & Sports Sciences. Her research focuses on scene perception, attention, and memory with significant funding from the DFG and other agencies.

Her research explores hierarchical scene representations, semantic processing, and real-world cognition, supported by grants like KI-FOR (€492k), The Adaptive Mind (€315k), and SFB TRR/135/3 (€555k). She has received teaching awards and organized international conferences including OPAM and TeaP.

She serves on editorial boards (Visual Cognition, Attention, Perception & Psychophysics) and professional organizations (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Psychologie, Vision Sciences Society). Her lab investigates neural correlates of scene processing and develops applications in AR/VR simulation for user experience.
