Deirdre Collier is an Associate Professor in the Department of Accounting, Taxation, Law and Information Sciences at Fairleigh Dickinson University (FDU), Silberman College. Her research focuses on accounting history, ethics in accounting, and behavioral accounting, with a particular emphasis on late 19th- to early 20th-century developments. She contributes to academic discourse through case studies and historical analyses.
Education: BA from College of William and Mary, MBA from Columbia University, and PhD from Rutgers University. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in New York State since 1986, with prior corporate experience in financial services at Goldman Sachs.
Research Trends: Her Google Scholar publications highlight historical regulatory models, ethical dilemmas in accounting, and the intersection of policy and financial practices. Articles span topics like depreciation accounting, shareholder democracy, and peer review processes in academic publishing.

- Honors Program Teacher of the Year (2nd place) – 2018
Service & Leadership: Advisor for Beta Alpha Psi (BAP) since inception at FDU; chaired the Assessment of Learning (AoL) committee for 3 of 9 years; served on College Personnel Review Committee. At the university level, she was Faculty Senate President (2019–2020) and remains a member of the Faculty Senate. She also serves on the editorial board for Accounting History and the American Accounting Association’s Accounting History section.
