Deepto Roy

Deepto Roy is a Junior Research Fellow at the International Iberian Nanotechnology Laboratory (INL), specializing in thin film deposition, surface characterization, and optoelectronics. He holds a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering (Materials Specialization) from the University of Ulsan and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Chittagong University of Engineering & Technology (CUET).

His research focuses on functional material fabrication for energy applications, particularly water splitting catalysts and heterostructure electrodes. Recent work includes hybrid nanosheet photoanodes and transition metal heterostructures for improved catalytic performance in renewable energy systems.

Deepto is affiliated with the Salomé Research Group and contributes to the INL community, emphasizing sustainable materials for functional devices.
