Declan Kelly

Declan Kelly is an Honorary Professor of Practice at Queen's Business School, Queen's University Belfast. He is a trusted advisor to leading global companies and CEOs, with extensive experience in advisory roles, including co-founding and leading Teneo into a top advisory firm. He previously served as U.S. Economic Envoy to Northern Ireland (2009-2011), contributing significantly to regional development. Declan's career spans senior leadership in consulting firms like FTI Consulting and Financial Dynamics, as well as founding his own consulting company. He is recognized for philanthropy, receiving prestigious awards like the Gold Medal (2008) and Ellis Island Medal of Honor (2012).

He leads the Northern Ireland Mentorship Program, enabling students to gain corporate experience in the U.S. before returning to Northern Ireland. Declan has held roles on nonprofit boards and raised substantial funds for worthy causes. His honorary roles include visiting professorships in management and leadership at Queen’s University, where he also received an honorary doctorate in 2011.
